About Me
My practice springs out of my own therapeutic journey. I know what it is to experience profound pain in relationships and in communities of faith, to feel confused and alone, to wonder if things will ever change. Knowing my own story helps me tune in to yours, to name, understand, and care for the places where you have experienced pain, abandonment, or misunderstanding. I commit to working with you to create a relational space that can safely and tenderly hold the turmoil of whatever it is you are dealing with.
“You had the power all along the way, my dear. You just had to learn it for yourself.”
Glinda, The Good Witch, The Wizard of Oz (1939)
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that most of our struggles are deeply embedded in relational pain and that healing occurs in the context of a trusting and safe relationship. Together we can explore the beliefs that may be hindering your ability to live the life you want to live. The hope is that we can experience something together that can allow for new relational possibilities and lasting change. We all long for satisfying relationships in which we can love and be loved as ourselves, and I believe relational psychotherapy provides the best hope for this kind of transformation.
I work from an integrative perspective, pulling from a variety of modalities, including depth psychology, attachment and object relations theories, interpersonal neurobiology, and the fundamental belief in the dignity of every human being.
While this work can be difficult at times, it’s my hope that we can enjoy a bit of lightness and laughter along the way.
I am a creative and curious person who loves laughter, art, play, and the beauty and mystery of the natural world. I am intrigued by new ways of understanding what it means to be human and how we relate to our world, whether through philosophy, art, spiritual practice, neurobiology, nature, meaningful conversation over a great meal, or best of all, belly laughs with people I love.

FAQs
Why Fiddle Leaf?
First of all, I am a plant lover. I love taking care of and propagating plants of all kinds, but I have a special place in my heart for these quirky fiddle leaf fig trees. Did you know that the only way to cause them to branch out is to cut their tops off, and the top can be rooted and become a new tree? Now this may not be a perfect metaphor because no one is advocating for intentionally causing harm, but I love this image of resilience. When difficult things happen we can learn to branch too. It is awe-inspiring to be in the presence of those who have allowed their woundedness to become their gift to the world. It is because of my own woundedness that I have come to this work. Fiddle leaf figs also just make me happy!
rates and frequency:
Therapy is a commitment. While some clients will only need short term therapy, others may need several years. No matter what your particular need, consistency is key to building a trusting relationship and a sense of momentum. For these reasons, I begin with consistent weekly sessions, reducing frequency as that becomes appropriate.
Our work together will begin with a 80 min. intake in which we discuss your current issues, history, and desired outcomes for therapy.
Initial Intake for Individuals or Couples: 80 min. session - $240
Individual Psychotherapy: 50 min. session - $160, 80 min. session - $240
Couples Relationship Therapy: 50 min. session - $180, 80 min. - $270
Payment is due at the end of each session.
do you take insurance?
No, I do not take insurance. If you are looking to have your insurance assist you with payment for your sessions, you will need to contact your insurance company to determine what coverage they provide for out-of-network mental health. In the case that your plan covers out-of-network providers, I will provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
