FAQs
Why Fiddle Leaf?
First of all, I am a plant lover. I love taking care of and propagating plants of all kinds, but I have a special place in my heart for these quirky fiddle leaf fig trees. Did you know that the only way to cause them to branch out is to cut their tops off, and the top can be rooted and become a new tree? Now this may not be a perfect metaphor because no one is advocating for intentionally causing harm, but I love this image of resilience. When difficult things happen we can learn to branch too. It is awe-inspiring to be in the presence of those who have allowed their woundedness to become their gift to the world. It is because of my own woundedness that I have come to this work. Fiddle leaf figs also just make me happy!
rates and frequency:
Therapy is a commitment. While some clients will only need short term therapy, others may need several years. No matter what your particular need, consistency is key to building a trusting relationship and a sense of momentum so you can see results sooner. For these reasons, I begin with consistent weekly sessions, reducing frequency as we near termination.
Our work together will begin with a 80 min. intake in which we discuss your current issues, history, and desired outcomes for therapy.
Initial Intake for Individuals or Couples: 80 min. session - $240
Individual Psychotherapy: 50 min. session - $160, 80 min. session - $240
Couples Relationship Therapy: 50 min. session - $180, 80 min. - $270
Payment is due at the end of each session.
do you take insurance?
Within 1-3 months I will be accepting Premera, Regence, Aetna, Cigna, United, Oscar, Anthem, Quest, Oxford, and Carelon.
Until then, if you are looking to have your insurance assist you with payment for your sessions, you will need to contact your insurance company to determine what coverage they provide for out-of-network mental health. In the case that your plan covers out-of-network providers, I will provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
